We’re mobilizing the most effective form of constituent advocacy: in-person meetings with incoming members of the 116thHouse of Representatives and “drop-bys” with staff members which do not require a set date and time.
These events should be to promote HR 1, the first bill that House Democrats plan on voting on. This is an extraordinary, comprehensive package of democracy reforms – everything from restoring the Voting Rights Act, automatic voter registration, public financing of election (small donor matching funds), supporting the overturn of Citizens United, ending partisan gerrymandering and much more is included.
We need all hands on deck to make sure this bill gets that support that it deserves.
We hope you can join us for our “day of drop-bys” on December 20th, where we are encouraging every interested constituent to stop by their Congress member’s office anytime during business hours, preferably noon local time. If you can’t make it! Don’t worry about it. You can sign up to host your own event at a different time.
If you're interested in finding an event near you, please plug in your zip code or city in the search box.
For resources and guidance for hosting an event, check out our in-district meet/drop by guide.
