Dear Supporter,
Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley continues his relentless effort to do Trump’s bidding and confirm as many extreme, narrow-minded, elitist judges as possible before the end of the year.
We emailed you last week about two of Trump’s extreme judicial nominees, Mark Norris and Steven Grasz. Senator Feinstein arranged to have the Grasz nomination held over and then, due to some heroic procedural maneuvering, Democrats on the Judiciary Committee were able to delay the committee vote on Norris as well (special thanks to Sen. Blumenthal of Connecticut and to the PFAW members who took action before that hearing!).
But now Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley has jammed those two nominees into a vote in a committee meeting TOMORROW along with another EIGHT Trump nominees, including another two who are just beyond the pale in terms of their disqualifying extremism: James Ho and Don Willett.
ALL senators need to hear from their constituents that all four of these unfit nominees are unacceptable and should be denied lifetime appointments on powerful federal courts.

- Mark Norris is the majority leader of the Tennessee Senate and has a long record of being anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant, and anti-abortion.
- Steve Grasz was unanimously rated “not qualified” by the American Bar Association because of his bias. He has a record of far-right activism and led an effort to ban late-term abortions in Nebraska.
- James Ho believes that the president’s constitutional powers are so vast that he can ignore important laws... particularly troubling given Trump’s bent toward abusing his power. He’s also against all campaign finance rules.
- Don Willett is a judge on the Texas Supreme Court and his ideology would be devastating to workers. He denigrates protections for women in the workplace against harassment and discrimination as just “more government,” and he has given Obergefell an absurdly narrow reading to allow continued government discrimination against same-sex couples.
Your senators need to hear from you that these nominees are unacceptable and that they should use every single tool available to them to stop them from being confirmed.
