We thought that the extremism and dishonesty that we all knew were going to be on display in Trump's first State of the Union address would help drive home how urgent it is to defeat Trump Republicans this year, but sadly we're on the verge on FALLING SHORT on our first major deadline of 2018!

The Washington Post rated "the truth" as one of the biggest losers in Trump's State of the Union speech last night.
He lied about everything from the Republican tax scam and immigration to workers' wages and stats about the economy ... big, easily disprovable lies that congressional Republicans KNEW were lies, as they stood up and enthusiastically applauded for each whopper.
According to the Post: "These [lies] are part of Trump's everyday talking points, so hearing them in this speech wasn't jarring. But it is notable that the White House uses bogus and unproven claims even on this stage."
But the other news this week is even more outrageous!
- The Trump administration is REFUSING to impose sanctions on Russia demanded by Congress last year in an extremely rare nearly unanimous vote! All whileTrump's own CIA Director Mike Pompeo is warning that Russia will target this year's US mid-term elections, and the sanctions were meant to deter just that!
- The Koch brothers' network of wealthy right-wing donors reportedly plans to spend over $400 million to protect the Republican congressional majorities -- a more than 60% increase over the group's 2016 spending!
- Congressional Republicans are doing all they can to undermine and obstruct the Mueller investigation, actively covering for Trump by attacking investigators who are trying to learn from 2016 and secure our future elections ... and by working hand-in-hand with a dishonest right-wing media empire, headed by Fox News, to invent and promote outrageous conspiracy theories.
And the list goes on.
