Despite the news that Jared Kushner attended a meeting with Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, and Russian operatives during the 2016 election cycle ostensibly to receive Russian information about Hillary Clinton, Kushner still has his security clearance.
Kushner was the only one in that meeting who is currently a member of the Trump administration. And he must have his security clearance revoked immediately.
Last week Democratic representatives introduced a bill aimed at removing Kushner’s clearance and security clearances from members Trump’s family and advisers who may be compromised.

According to the New York Times, Kushner neglected to disclose meetings with foreign officials on his security clearance application forms -- including a Russian diplomat and businessman. And he's since gone back to try to paper over the omission, adding more than 100 contacts with foreign officials.
Kushner also is particularly relevant to the question of collusion with the Russian's cyber offensive because he headed the digital arm of the Trump campaign. The hacks of the DNC and Clinton's campaign chair got most of the attention, but the centerpiece of Russia's attack on our election was the surgically targeted dissemination of fake news and social media smears against Hillary Clinton and people close to her... something many experts say the Russians could not have done without some sort of American assistance.
Rep. Don Beyer and a handful of House Democrats have been calling for months for Kushner's security clearance to be suspended, and now they have introduced the Security Clearance Review Act to address this serious national security issue.
Rep. Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, urged Trump this week to suspend Kushner's clearance "pending a full investigation."
The new legislation comes after Republicans blocked two appropriations amendments that would have revoked Kushner’s clearance on party-line votes.
