After a 35-day shutdown over Trump's racist, vanity wall, the president has declared a phony ‘national emergency’ to circumvent Congress – and the Constitution – and steal funds to build his wall on the country’s southern border.

Trump’s declaration would be a gross violation of the Constitution and an assault on the rule of law, as there is no credible argument that a state of emergency exists on our southern border.

To combat this waste of taxpayer money and violation of checks and balances, Congress can pass a resolution to terminate Trump's declaration. With enough votes in each house, Congress could override any veto and finally and bring an end to Trump's fake emergency.
