Tell Congress: Pass the Paycheck Fairness Act!

US Congress:

While strides have been made toward ensuring equal pay for equal work, we still fall far short of bridging the gender pay gap. The Paycheck Fairness Act would updated and strengthen the Equal Pay Act of 1963 by providing robust protections against sex-based pay discrimination.

I urge you to support and pass the Paycheck Fairness Act as soon as possible!

Even with the the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, full pay equity still is not a reality for too many throughout the country.

This Congress has the opportunity to provide new tools to battle pervasive pay gaps and challenge pay discrimination. Among other provisions, the Paycheck Fairness Act would:

    • Bar retaliation against workers who voluntarily discuss or disclose their wages

    • Close loopholes that have allowed employers to pay women less than men for the same work

    • Ensure the same remedies for sex-based pay discrimination that are currently available in cases ofrace and ethnicity-based discrimination

    • Prohibit employers from relying on salary history in determining future pay

    • And more!

Urge your members of Congress to support the Paycheck Fairness Act today!
