Defend Democracy with Accountability for the Insurrection!
The January 6 siege of the U.S Capitol was an attempted coup aimed at overturning the legitimate results of a free and fair election. People For is leading a long-term campaign to end attacks on our democracy and stamp out the incitement and encouragement of white supremacist and other extremist violence.
This includes, but is not limited to: holding Trump directly accountable for his lead role in inciting; making sure every far-right terrorist who invaded the Capitol is arrested and prosecuted; pursuing various mechanisms of accountability for Trump’s enablers in Congress; and going all-in with the investigative capabilities of People For’s Right Wing Watch to find and expose ties between far-right political leaders and the white supremacist and extremist groups that continue to encourage and mobilize insurrectionists.
