The attack on our Capitol building was no doubt inspired by the incendiary rhetoric of President Trump and his callous disregard for our democratic process. Trump’s actions have proven, without a doubt, that he is no longer fit to hold the office of the presidency.

I urge you to remove President Trump from office immediately using the powers bestowed upon you in the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution!

For years, President Trump stoked the fear, hatred, and division that have been festering in our nation. Now, that hatred and fear have spilled over into an act of domestic terrorism. After Trump lied to his supporters for weeks and months about the outcome of the election, citing baseless accusations of fraud, their rage finally reached a fever pitch.

Trump’s behavior has always been incendiary and appalling, but after years of carefully grooming his own private army of insurrectionists, he deployed them: urging them to march to the U.S. Capitol building and give Congressional Republicans “the kind of pride and boldness they need to take back our country.”

This attempt to overturn the election results cannot be ignored, and President Trump MUST be removed from office immediately.
