I’m tired of paying more for everything. Groceries, rent, child care, health care, energy. Trump’s reckless tariffs have pushed prices even higher. But another force making it harder to make ends meet gets far less attention: the federal courts.
The judges you confirm decide whether workers get overtime pay, whether banks can bury families in fees, and whether working people can join together for better wages and working conditions. And Trump’s judges keep siding with corporations.
Trump-appointed judges struck down a rule expanding overtime pay for salaried workers, threw out protections against excessive credit card late fees, and cleared the way for the administration to strip collective bargaining rights from hundreds of thousands of federal workers. On the Supreme Court, Trump’s justices weakened public sector unions and gave the president power to fire the head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at will.
These rulings mean smaller paychecks, higher fees, and less power for working people. And because federal judges serve for life, they have decades to keep finding new ways to hurt us.
If you say you’re fighting the affordability crisis, prove it with your vote. Trump’s nominees have shown again and again whose side they’re on, and it isn’t ours. Reject every one of them.
The rules of our economy for the next generation are being written right now. Don’t hand the pen to corporations.
