The COVID-19 pandemic is a once-in-a-century threat that continues to wreak havoc on our country and around the globe. But right-wing members of Congress – including some who try to wrap themselves in labels like ‘moderate’ and ‘sensible’ – are trying to sabotage the administration’s efforts to do what is needed and GO BIG on an urgent coronavirus relief package. Right now, during one of the most dangerous and harmful phases of the pandemic, Congress needs to embrace big, bold action like the measures contained in the Biden-Harris administration’s American Rescue Plan.

But right-wing members of Congress – including some who try to wrap themselves in labels like ‘moderate’ and ‘sensible’ – are trying to sabotage the administration’s efforts to do what is needed and GO BIG on an urgent coronavirus relief package. Their ‘compromise’ proposals lack a serious appreciation for the magnitude of the crisis and the pain that Americans are experiencing. This is no time to nickel and dime the American people or to shy away from what needs to be done to meet this challenge.
