Demand Congress Act to Protect the Freedom to Vote

U.S. CONGRESS:

As a constituent and supporter of People For The American Way, I am writing to urge you to support the Freedom to Vote Act and to call on you to move with urgency to see that this critical legislation receives a hearing and a vote in both chambers of Congress.

Across the country, state legislatures are moving to restrict voting rights and limit democracy. From new voting restrictions and aggressive gerrymandering to outright interference in election administration, these new laws would severely undermine our democracy.

The Freedom to Vote Act addresses this threat by creating national standards to protect our freedom to vote, getting big money out of politics, combating partisan election subversion, and guaranteeing that congressional districts are drawn to give fair representation to all.

We the people demand that you take action to protect the fundamental right to vote for all eligible voters. You can do that right now by supporting the Freedom to Vote Act in this Congress and seeing that it receives a prompt hearing and a vote.
