Tell Justice Thomas to Recuse Himself!

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas:

It’s clear from ongoing reports and investigations that your spouse, Ginni Thomas, has not only been involved with groups who were connected to the violent insurrection on January 6, 2021, but she was also very clearly involved in direct attempts to overturn the will of voters in multiple states throughout the country.

Considering the obvious conflict of interest it presents to your ability to remain impartial, I call on you to recuse yourself from any cases related to efforts to overturn the election, investigations into the January 6 insurrection, or any cases involving the ongoing investigation into potential crimes committed by former President Trump.

Earlier this year it was widely reported that Ginni Thomas had ties to the groups planning the January 6 rally and ensuing insurrection. Subsequent reports came to light about her text messages to Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, following the 2020 elections, urging the administration to try to find ways to overturn the election results.

Then even more reporting emerged about Thomas’s direct efforts to try to get state legislators in battleground states to stop their states’ electoral votes from being cast for President Biden by pushing slates of fake “electors” to take the place of the real ones – even after all evidence showed that Biden had won those states and Trump’s claims of “fraud” were nonsense.

With such a clear and personal conflict of interest, Justice Thomas must recuse himself from any cases brought before the court that involve the insurrection, efforts to overturn the election, and those involving potential crimes committed by former President Trump – sign the petition now!
