Pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act

U.S. CONGRESS:

Congress must pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore and strengthen the Voting Rights Act after years of damage from the Supreme Court and ongoing attacks by far-right politicians across the country.

The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy, and no state should be allowed to pass discriminatory voting rules or manipulate district maps to silence communities and dilute the power of voters of color.

I urge Congress to act now to repair the damage, restore strong federal protections, and ensure every eligible voter can cast a ballot and have that vote count.

The Voting Rights Act was born from sacrifice, organizing, and the hard-fought truth that every eligible voter should be able to cast a ballot and have that vote count.

But the right-wing Supreme Court has spent years weakening that landmark law, and its recent decision in Louisiana v. Callais opened the door to even more attacks on fair representation. Now Republican politicians are moving quickly to redraw maps, dilute the power of voters of color, and lock in partisan advantage before voters can hold them accountable.

Congress must act. Add your name now to urge Congress to pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and restore the strong federal protections our democracy urgently needs.
