Urge the Senate to Reject Linda McMahon!

U.S. SENATE:

As a concerned constituent, I am writing to urge you to reject Linda McMahon’s nomination to be the Secretary of Education. She is deeply unqualified for this position.

McMahon’s primary goal is to take money away from public schools for private, religious, and charter school vouchers. Voucher programs drain funds from schools that have legal requirements to fight discrimination, harassment, and bullying, and turn tax dollars over to schools that do not have those rigorous standards. Vouchers often subsidize private schools for wealthy families, leaving public schools with fewer resources for students who need them.

Trump wants McMahon to oversee the dismantling of the Department of Education. The Department of Education plays a vital role in distributing and monitoring public spending on education, working to ensure equal access to education for all students, collecting performance data on America’s students and schools so that resources can be equitably allocated, and more. You must reject McMahon’s nomination and any attempts to eliminate the Department of Education!

Donald Trump has nominated a wildly unqualified candidate named Linda McMahon to be Secretary of Education. With little experience in education, McMahon would be entering an arena she knows almost nothing about.

Trump has presumably put her name forward so that she can implement Project 2025’s plans to dismantle the Department of Education. For years, MAGA Republicans have been eager to get their hands on public education funds and tighten their censorship of what students can read and learn.
