The Senate Must Reject Todd Blanche

U.S. SENATE:

The Attorney General is supposed to serve the people, not the president’s personal interests. Todd Blanche has already failed that test.

As Donald Trump’s former criminal defense lawyer, Blanche has carried his loyalty to Trump straight into the Department of Justice, where he has helped turn federal law enforcement into a weapon at Trump’s disposal, in order to aid his allies, drive his political agenda and extract revenge against his opponents. No senator should vote to hand the full power of the DOJ to a Trump fixer who has refused to separate himself from Trump’s personal legal interests and has shown open contempt for the independence of the Department.

I urge the Senate to reject Todd Blanche’s nomination for Attorney General.
