Trump’s Witch Hunts Threaten Democracy

CONDEMN THE WEAPONIZATION OF THE DOJ:

President Trump is once again weaponizing the Justice Department to attack his political enemies. He has demanded that Democratic donor and philanthropist George Soros – and his son – be charged with crimes, parroting baseless, conspiracy theories, many of which are grounded in vicious antisemitism. His real concern: the Soros philanthropy funds pro-democracy organizations that oppose the MAGA agenda.

Turning federal law enforcement into a tool of personal vengeance is a hallmark of authoritarian rule. These threats are meant to silence dissent and intimidate anyone who dares to stand in Trump’s way. President Trump has made it clear: the Justice Department is no longer a guardian of the public good – it is his weapon of choice against critics and political opponents. His latest targets are Democratic donor and philanthropist George Soros and his son, who Trump has baselessly accused of criminal activity simply because Soros supports pro-democracy organizations that challenge the MAGA agenda.
