Tell the Senate to Support the Insurrection Commission!

U.S. Senate:

The world watched in horror on January 6 as former President Trump’s most ardent supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, waging an insurrection in a desperate attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election, further endangering our democracy.

We deserve to know what happened that day and the events leading up to it so that we can prevent a similar attack from occurring in the future -- and move to hold those involved accountable for their actions.

I demand that you vote in support of the bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6 insurrection!

Just as a bipartisan deal was announced to form a 9/11-style commission to investigate the events leading up to and surrounding the insurrection waged by Trump’s supporters, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell announced their opposition to the proposal – preferring instead to further insulate Trump and his supporters from an investigation into their actions that seriously jeopardized democracy.

Our nation deserves better, and we deserve to know what led to the dangerous attacks on January 6 in the pursuit of accountability for those involved, including former President Trump.

Urge your senators to vote YES when the bipartisan commission deal comes to a vote on the Senate floor – we deserve answers!
