Both Readler and Murphy are dangerous far-right radicals who will do significant damage to our civil rights and liberties and health care access for people with pre-existing conditions.

Chad Readler not only led the Trump administration’s attack on health care reform, he resorted to an argument that was so contrary to the rule of law that career Justice Department officials refused to sign his brief. He also has a record of deep hostility to voting rights.

Murphy has also worked to limit health care access and has proven time and time again that he is a threat to women’s health and the right to choose. He fought to defend voter suppression in the Supreme Court, in the form of a racist voter purge in Ohio, and he argued against same-sex couples on the losing side of the landmark Supreme Court case that affirmed marriage equality.  

Republicans’ response to these concerns? To give them lifetime seats on the federal court of appeals.
